The Video Documentary team is entrusted to produce various video documentaries  for the Government and other agencies to encapsulate various social and development issues of the society. The videos produced at C-DIT in the genre of documentary have consistently reflected the changes in the societal sphere in Kerala and this videos have also been the vanguard in the journey of C-DIT for the last twenty years . Since 1989 , when the video production facility was commissioned , C-DIT has produced more than 750 videos in documentary format  in the areas of science, development, education and  environment . The documentaries produced by C-DIT have been a strength of support to many development endeavors of Kerala viz ; the Peoples Plan Campaign, the initiation of DPEP in schools of Kerala, the Modernising Governemnt Programme etc. These documentaries have been acclaimed by critiques as well as the general audience and have been acclaimed in National as well as International festivals
