C-DIT understands the necessity of extending technology to tap the vast human resources of the State and help them translate their potential to bring about larger benefits for the State. The Technology Extension Team took shape to meet this purpose. Offering a rich gamut of courses in association with Educational Partners spread across the 14 districts is the main functional area of this Team. Having as many as 100 Partners, this Team holds the record for having the largest number of franchisees under any similar

Government agencyin the State. In addition to conducting and administering as many as 23 courses, which undergo regular and need-based updation, the Team prepares the quality course material required thereof. Technology Extension team derives input from other teams like Educational Informatics to provide value addition in the course materials and curriculum provided by it. The Technology Extension team is also entrusted with projects to set up hi-tech exhibits for science museums.

Courses

C-DIT is well acquainted with the state of the art technologies in the fields of visual communication, optical image processing and information technology. In order to make available this expertise to the general public, a selected number of institutions, which fulfill certain minimum requirements with regard to facilities, faculties etc have been approved as C-DIT Educational Partners. The following courses are offered through C-DIT Educational Partners. The Team continuously monitors and evaluates the courses. Periodic examinations will be conducted and results will be announced. On successful completion of the course, the students will be awarded the certificates by C-DIT. Certificates will be based on attendance, performance in class quiz and exercises, project and final examination.

Course outcome
After completing the course the student will be able to design and develop application software around popular Computer Platforms, to use popular Software Tools effectively and optimally and to write programmes in high level languages.

Course Delivery
The course emphasise in imparting Knowledge through a balanced theoretical and practical orientation. Software development skills are given stress through out the programme. During the course the candidate will attend lectures, practical classes and undertake case studies and projects. Ample time will be given for actual working with computers. The students will be evaluated on their performance in quizzes, tests, viva and Examination.
